To quickly SUMMARIZE APHRODITE'S importance in greek culture and greek mythology. I choose to do this blog on Aphrodite because i thought she was very helpful to greece and they really APPRECIATED her thought and musings. She was very INTERESTING and there is still a lot that we don't no about her bcause of that i thought that it would be a good topic to do my report on because there is so much that we don't know that would be very INTERESTING to find out. So on that topic i was wonder that she has been SUPPOSEDLY born from sea foam and that dione and Zeus where also her parents so if you took the survey thank you i am glad that you shared your thoughts. Then i wrote a little on her symbols which was the hardest to write because every site that I looked at told me three different things. One thing that i found INTERESTING was that What are Aphrodite symbols and how do the represent her? Aphrodite's symbol are the golden apple, laurel, dove, rose, artichoke, seashell, pomegranate, and mirror. First, the golden apple represents her because the apple was a elegant fruit and showed up at various fairy tales and myths throughout history. The laurel represents Aphrodite because it has been known as being the flower family growth like the Greek goddesses . The dove represents Aphrodite because doves have always been a very beautiful animal and very liked by Aphrodite. Rose had been used for several things at the time like food and perfume which Aphrodite was a big fan of. Artichokes had been a species of thistle and cultivated. Seashells have represented Aphrodite since the day she was born, she was supposedly born from a seashell and sea foam. The mirror represents Aphrodite because it symbol's and refers to the planet Venus which the Romans had called her by. That is why all of these objects symbols and reflect on Aphrodite. Dione was known as loving aphrodite because of her beauty and love and affection towards Dione. Zues on the other hand didn't like her as much as Athena because he thought that beauty and love didn't matter as much as smarts. Tell me who you think was Aphrodite's parents below.
